Phase #3: Entry

Once you have nominated, you will receive instructions on how to enter and a link to the online application form.

The application process consists of two components:

  • An online application form. The application form is straightforward and has been designed so that it is not onerous to business owners to complete.  It just involves telling us a little about your innovation and how it came about.
  • An optional short video pitch. Applicants may also submit a video summary (less than 2 mins) of their innovation. This does not need to be high-tech and can be as simple or creative as you want it to be.  Guidelines on how to record and submit your video will be sent to you once you have nominated and assistance is available.  A workshop on how to create a video with punch will be offered to entrants during July.

To be eligble for entry, this form must be completed by 12pm on Monday 15 August 2016.  Late applications will not be accepted.

Phase #4: Judging

Now it's time for our independent judging panel to assess your entry.

The judging panel will include experts in business development, venture capital, intellectual property along with representatives from sponsor organisations.  Judges will be required to declare a conflict of interest if necessary.

Sponsors who enter the awards are not eligible to judge any categories in which they are entrants.

Entrants may be required to be available for a short interview with the judging panel during September.

Phase #5: People's Choice

The judging process will determine a number of entrants that will be inclided in the People's Choice awards.

If you are a People's Choice Finalist, here's your chance to boost your chances of winning but encouraging your team, staff, customers and clients to vote for you!

The People's Choice voting will run for the month of October.

Entrants who are not included in the People's Choice awards may still win any other category that they have entered.

Phase #5: Awards Presentations

All winners will be announced and awards presented at a special luncheon to be held during Global Entrepreneurship week (w/c 14 November).
